PAT Business School was delighted to be recently invited by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment with Enterprise Ireland and Enterprise Ireland MENA to attend a Fintech and Edtech trade conference in the DIFC Innovation Hub

As part of our visit, we were privileged to be also invited to meet Dr. Colm O’Donnell, Elisabeth Wallace, Jacqueline Whitehead, and Sara Kalban from the Financial Regulator’s Office – Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA).

After long discussions – PAT Business School was particularly proud to sign a partnership agreement with the largest and oldest university in the UAE – United Arab Emirates University. This would not have been possible without the incredible commitment and support of Prof Mohamed Madi, Dean of the College of Business and Economics, his respected colleagues, and the Ministry of Education.

Finally, our visit concluded with a visit to our trusted partners in ACCA Middle East, Ms. Fazeela Gopalani and Mr. Taher Kapasi where we discussed the planned and phased rollout of our innovative collaborative programme for Financial Crime.

All those fears that generative AI (gen AI) is going to put people out of work may be overblown—at least for the time being. New research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology says that so far, it’s still more cost-effective for companies to choose humans over gen-AI-powered technology.
