Welcome to the latest newsletter edition. September was a busy month at PAT Business School. Here are some of the events and highlights that occurred during the month.

The EY Compliance Workshop, in partnership with the Compliance Institute and PAT Business School, took place this month.

The workshop investigated the Individual Accountability Framework (IAF) and the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) as implementation dates for both policies fast approaching, with DORA coming into effect in January 2025. The CBI is still in consultation for finalising the rules/guidelines for IAF – which is part of the Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR).

Thanks to our main speakers on the day, David Spollen (Director – Technology Risk & Resilience Consulting) and Jean-Philippe Grigy (Executive Director – FS Risk) from EY, who shared their insights and experience from working with clients on DORA and IAF respectively.

With special thanks to Dr. John Nolan and Ms. Grainne Carey from the University of Galway for the kind invitation to speak with the MSc In International Accounting & Analytics Class of 2023 / 2024 and to formally announce the PAT Business School ACCA Scholarship in conjunction with the University.
