ACCA Registration and Membership Information 

This guide provides essential details regarding ACCA fees, membership requirements, and contact  information based on current records. 

How do I begin my ACCA studies? 

You must first register as a member with ACCA. During the registration process on the ACCA website,  select the option for independent students. 

Where can I find the registration link? 

You can register through the official ACCA portal.

Why do I need an ACCA registration number before enrolling at PAT? 

An active ACCA registration number is a required field for course applications on the PAT Business  School website. ACCA subjects are available exclusively to ACCA members.

Fees and Subscriptions

Please note: Fees for ACCA exams must be paid directly to ACCA and are not included in PAT Business  School tuition.

How do I check if I am eligible for exemptions? 

Use the official ACCA Exemptions Calculator to estimate potential credits based on your previous academic qualifications. 

Who officially confirms my exemptions? 

Only ACCA can officially assess and grant exemptions. You must upload your official transcripts and  certificates during the registration process for their review. 

Are there fees for exemptions? 

Yes. Once ACCA confirms your eligibility, you must pay an exemption fee per subject directly to ACCA  to have them officially allocated to your account.

Membership Management

Expired Membership

If your ACCA membership has expired or been lapsed, you must contact ACCA directly to discuss  reinstatement. An active ACCA registration number is a mandatory requirement for enrolling in  courses at PAT Business School, as these subjects are available exclusively to active members.

Recommended Order of Subjects 

ACCA subjects are generally structured to build upon foundational knowledge. The typical  progression is as follows:

1. Applied Knowledge (Foundation) 

– Business and Technology (BT) 
– Management Accounting (MA) 
– Financial Accounting (FA) 

Note: You must successfully complete the three foundation modules (BT, MA, and FA) and the  Foundations in Professionalism (FIP) ethics module to receive your ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business.

2. Applied Skills 

It is often recommended to take these in an order that aligns with your professional strengths or the  exam cycle, but many students follow this sequence: 

– Corporate and Business Law (LW)  
– Performance Management (PM) 
– Taxation (TX) exam sittings for the Irish variant of this subject are held twice a year,  specifically in June and December. 
– Financial Reporting (FR) 
– Audit and Assurance (AA) 
– Financial Management (FM) 

 3. Strategic Professional 

Essentials: Strategic Business Leader (SBL) and Strategic Business Reporting (SBR).
Options: Choose two from Advanced Financial Management (AFM), Advanced Performance  Management (APM), Advanced Taxation (ATX) Exam sittings for the Irish variant of this  subject are held twice a year, specifically in June and December, or Advanced Audit and  Assurance (AAA).

Platinum Tuition Provider Status

How do I apply for a specific module with PAT Business School? 

Applications are submitted directly through the PAT Business School website by selecting your chosen subject.  

Enrollment Options 

Standard (Full Course) Enrollment: Standard Enrollment includes full access to live streaming,  recorded lectures, study guides, practice exams, and dedicated revision sessions. 
Retaker Enrollment: This option is applicable for external applicants who have failed the  subject in two consecutive sittings, counted from the enrollment you wish to apply for 

Does the Retaker option cover the full course? 

Yes. The Retaker option includes the full course tuition. To avail of this, you must have sat and failed  the exam, and you must email your ACCA transcript to [email protected] 

What if my employer is paying for the course? 

During the online application process, select the “Employer Paying” option. This allows you to complete the booking without upfront payment, and an invoice will be generated and sent to your  employer. 

If your employer is paying for your course, please complete a sponsorship form and email it to [email protected] to activate your access to the online study portal. 

Payment in Installments: Flexible payment plans are available and can be chosen when you  book your course. 
Special Offers: We provide special offers for unemployed applicants (terms and conditions  apply). We also run a variety of great offers during each intake; please contact our admissions  team to check for current availability. 

Study Mode Options 

Live Online: All classes are streamed live through our E-learning platform (Moodle). Learners  can join in real-time, participate in class by asking questions, and engage with the lecturer.  Every session is recorded and available on-demand until the exam day. 
Hybrid: This mode offers a combination of both live online classes and pre-recorded content.
On-Demand: All classes are pre-recorded, allowing learners to progress through the material  at their own pace. 

How are the classes delivered? 

All classes are delivered online through live sessions. 

What if I miss a live session? 

Every session is recorded and made available on-demand via the Moodle e-learning platform for the duration of the module.

How do I access study materials? 

For Live and Blended delivery, study materials are provided digitally on the Online portal. Learners  have access to our online learning platform via Moodle once they pay 50% of their fees or provide  confirmation that their employer is funding their studies. Access remains available until the day of  the exam. 

Does PAT book my ACCA exams? 

No. PAT provides the tuition and preparation, but you must book your official exams directly through  your myACCA account. 

How do I claim my ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business? 

To receive your diploma, you must: 

1. Successfully complete the three foundation modules (FBT, FMA, and FFA).

2. Complete the online Foundations in Professionalism (FIP) ethics module on your ACCA  dashboard.
